I have been writing poems for some time now; a talent I proudly inherited by my grandfather.
For the last 15 years I have been working with elementary students and children with learning disabilities, primarily autism. Working with young children has set my poetry in a different direction. Last Halloween I wrote a story and read it to students from kindergarten through 6th grade. After receiving positive remarks from students and teachers alike, I decided to take my writing more seriously.
This is my first published book titled The Healthy Alphabet. Fruits and vegetables have fun hanging out with each other and teaches children about healthy food choices while learning their alphabet.
Hawaii on the island of Kauai is where I call home with my husband. Our son and daughter were both raised here and have since moved to the mainland to focus on their families which include 4 beautiful grandchildren. Working with children that have learning disabilities has become a profession I have grown to love.
In my spare time I love to run and spend time with friends at the beach.
